Natural Dye – Red Onion Skins

BFL Tweed – Cotton Yarn – Cotton Fabric – Linen Fabric

Handspun

  • 14.5 g red onion skins
  • 119.3 g fiber samples
  • 9.5 g alum (8%)
  • Simmer onion skins 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Dissolve alum (all in one) and add the wet fiber samples
  • Simmer 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Let soak overnight
  • Rinse and water with Soak

2nd bath with:

  • 85.3 g handspun
  • 6. alum (8%)
